[TODAYS DATE] Hello again [CUSTOMERS NAME] In the last gout newsletter I listed out some of the topics I was going to cover in my e-mails. In this newsletter I am going to give a simple explanation of what gout is: - Gout is a disease of the joints - It results in a buildup of uric acid in the blood, also called hyperuricemia - Gout is highly painful and can cause severe swelling - The big toe is the most common part of the body to be affected The history of Gout as a medical condition stretches as far back as the 4th century B.C., when Hippocrates described it as a condition of an opulent lifestyle. It is a form of arthritis that can affect any joint in the body. The condition involves the buildup of uric acid in the bloodstream that can lead to a swelling of the joints. Usually, the initial joint affected is the big toe, but if untreated, other areas of the body may develop gout. Fortunately, it is possible to treat gout. However, some concessions must be made in terms of lifestyle if you want to be able to manage the condition effectively. If the condition is allowed to persist more severe complications may arise. Due to advances in science and medicine it is uncommon for anyone to reach severely harmful and permanent dangers of gout anymore. In the next newsletter I will cover hyperuricemia and gout. Until next time. [YOUR NAME] http://xxxxxxx.gout01.hop.clickbank.net ------------------------------------------------------------------- AUTORESPONDER 3 *************** Subject: [TODAYS DATE] What is hyperuricemia? Dear [CUSTOMERS NAME] I hope this email finds you and your loved ones well. Hyperuricemia, as previously mentioned, is caused by the build up of uric acid in the blood. While uric acid is normally a helpful antioxidant, too much of a good thing can be dangerous to the body. Normally, the homeostasis of uric acid is maintained through urination, but in some cases this does not happen. The uric acid does not have an outlet to leave the body and can form deposits in the joints. This condition is normally caused by a diet of rich and fatty foods. These foods often have a product called purine, which helps to produce uric acid. The excess crystals of uric acid are treated like an invading substance in the body and the immune system attacks them. This is what causes swelling. If your diet consists of a lot of food with high purine sontent you run an increased risk of producing more uric acid. The joints are not the only place where a buildup of uric acid can occur. Sometimes, the overproduction of uric acid can lead to kidney stones. My next newsletter will cover some of the causes and risk factors associated with gout. If you want to get the facts about gout and learn more without delay, you can download the ebook I highly recommend. You can find the website address at the bottom of the page. Until next time. Hello again [CUSTOMERS NAME] It's [YOUR NAME] here again. I hope you are finding the content of my newsletters interesting and useful. In this newsletter I am going to cover the causes and risk factors behind gout. One of the primary causes of gout is obesity. Obesity results in more weight being put on the joints of the body. In addition, consuming unhealthy foods rich in purine not only leads to gout, but to obesity as well. Scientists, through careful research, have concluded that a person's body mass index (BMI) is directly related to the probability of developing gout. While losing weight can directly result in the elimination of hyperuricemia, doing so at an unnatural pace can lead to further damage. If you want to reduce your weight to lower your chance of developing gout, you should consult a nutrition expert for advice on how to properly do so. In addition to weight, genetics also play a part in developing gout. There are large sections of the population that are obese but never develop gout. The cause of this genetic link is not fully understood, but researchers are working to figure out the exact nature genes play in the development of gout. Drinking alcohol is also linked to the development of gout. Alcohol is one of the most purine-rich substances known. People who drink excessively greatly increase their chances of developing gout. Other foods high in purine can also lead to gout. In the downloadable e-book "Cure Gout Now", there is specific information that provides you with more detailed information about the causes and risk factors of gout. This e-book also shows you foods to avoid and chemicals that can increase your risk of developing gout. If you are interested in getting a copy of the book you can find it here: http://xxxxxxx.gout01.hop.clickbank.net I hope this information has been useful to you...and I will be in touch soon with the next installment, which covers... Symptoms associated with gout. Bye for now. [YOUR NAME] http://xxxxxxx.gout01.hop.clickbank.net ------------------------------------------------------------------- AUTORESPONDER 5 *************** Subject: [CUSTOMERS NAME] Symptoms of gout Hello again [CUSTOMERS NAME] I hope you are well and ready for the next gout newsletter. Today's newsletter covers some of the basic symptoms of gout. If you are worried about developing gout, an simple way of spotting the symptoms is to look out for changes in one of your big toes. If your big toe is swollen, stiff, and red, it may mean you have gout. Sometimes the big toe can be much larger than normal size - even by a factor of two or three! In addition to being painful, the toe may be extremely sensitive. The slightest touch can cause extreme discomfort. The big toe is not the only area that can be affected, but keep in mind that it is the most common. Other areas where gout can show include the wrist, ankle, knee, and any other joint in the body, If untreated, more severe cases of gout can affect more than one area of the body. Sometimes, several areas can be symptomatic all at once. In unusual cases, buildups of uric acid deposits can occur under the skin, around cartilage and bones, and even under the eyes and in the ears. As the severity of gout increases, more damaging symptoms can arise. Since the kidneys have to work excessively hard to process uric acid, deposits in the kidneys can lead to kidney stones that may require surgery to remove. In the next newsletter I will be talking about some of the ways gout can be diagnosed. Until next time. [YOUR NAME] http://xxxxxxx.gout01.hop.clickbank.net ------------------------------------------------------------------- AUTORESPONDER 6 *************** Subject: [CUSTOMERS NAME]- Gout – how is it diagnosed? [TODAYS DATE] Dear [CUSTOMERS NAME] In today's newsletter we are going to cover the way gout is diagnosed. Gout is a fairly easy condition to diagnose after the first flare up. A medical doctor will inspect the inflamed joint, usually the big toe. After this initial examination, a discussion of family medical history will shed light on whether there is a genetic link or not. The next step is for a routine blood examination. This test will determine the concentration of uric acid in the bloodstream. If the levels are above 8.5 mg/dL for men and 6.6 mg/dL for women, combined with the inflammation of a joint, the doctor will usually diagnose gout. In addition, there may be the need for a more accurate test. In these cases it is necessary to extract synovial fluid around the inflamed joint. The fluid is then examined under a microscope for evidence of uric acid crystals. Once the diagnosis of gout has been given, the patient has several options. Medication is available, but the side-effects of these drugs can often outweigh many of their benefits. The decision to modify one's lifestyle is usually the preferred method of treatment. Information on lifestyle changes needed to cure gout will be included in the next newsletter. Thanks for reading, and I will be back with another installment soon. Kind regards. [YOUR NAME] http://xxxxxxx.gout01.hop.clickbank.net ------------------------------------------------------------------- AUTORESPONDER 7 *************** Subject: [CUSTOMERS NAME], What lifestyle changes have to be made to cure gout? Hello again [CUSTOMERS NAME] In the last newsletter we covered the methods used to diagnose gout. In this edition we are going to talk about the lifestyle changes required to cure gout. Did you know that: - Weight is an important factor in determining whether or not you develop gout - While weight loss is an effective treatment for gout, it must be done responsibly - Loosing weight too quickly can actually cause higher amounts of uric acid to form - Exercise is good for the body in so many ways. - Working out and staying fit can reduce the risk of developing gout. Adopting a diet high in grains, vegetables, and fruits is the best way to lose weight. Foods that are high in protein can lead to more uric acid production. The following foods are regarded safe for gout control by leading nutritionists: - avocados - mangos - cereals - whole-wheat foods - strawberries - oranges - kiwi - high-fiber foods - grapes - the majority of vegetables There are many other foods which are safe to eat if you are either suffering from gout or want to reduce your risk of developing the condition. If you wish to find out more information about these safe foods and foods you need to avoid, you can find detailed information in the e-book I receommed to my readers, "Cure Gout Now!". [YOUR NAME] http://xxxxxxx.gout01.hop.clickbank.net ------------------------------------------------------------------- AUTORESPONDER 8 *************** Subject: [CUSTOMERS NAME] What are the medical treatments for gout? [TODAYS DATE] Hello [CUSTOMERS NAME] This newsletter covers the most popular medical treatments for gout. Besides making necessary lifestyle changes to treat gout, there are medical treatments available. The least harmful treatments include elevating the afflicted area and taking ibuprofen. One class of drugs that has proven to be effective are anti-inflammatory medications. However, These drugs can have some rather nasty side effects to the respiratory and cardiovascular systems. Corticosteroids can also be used. These corticosteroids can be taken either orally or injected directly into the joint. They are usually used over a short-term period to reduce the chance of side effects Colchicine and probenecid are strong medications that can provide instant relief at the onset of a gout flare-up. However, the side effects of these medications include nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. Gout medications work by reducing the amount of uric acid crystals in the bloodstream. Using these medications should be a last resort. Reducing alcohol consumption, purine-rich foods, and starting to exercise should be the first remedy for gout. In the "Cure Gout Now!" there is more information on the available treatments for gout. Also, the e-book provides recipes for a healthy lifestyle and more detailed information about how to cure gout!
